The National Debt

Image via Wikipedia The National Debt has sky rocketed because Republican presidents decimated jobs in The United States. With every Republican president from Reagan on, the middle class has watched it's jobs disappear. Free trade sent American jobs to Japan. Then to Korea, China and India. Every job that went over seas shrank the tax base in the U.S. until the government had to borrow to pay the bills that taxes had once covered.
     The U.S. lent Billions upon Billions of dollars to other countries and forgave their debt instead of collecting the money that had been lent. Tax payer money. When the government borrows, it borrows in your name. Republicans took us above the old debt limit and raised it. Their administrations account for over 10 trillion dollars in debt. Did Republicans care about you when they spent that money? Not hardly. They gave huge corporations tax breaks and allowed them to pay 0 tax on any money that they kept outside the U.S. If a tax payer does that it is tax evasion, but corporations can do that. They gave oil companies tax breaks to drill, so gas prices would stay low. Are your gas prices low? No! Because like everything the Republicans do it became a way to make them rich. Are you driving a limo? They are. They get tax free gas. They get free gas in Washington. I laugh at people who are not rich and are Republican, because they are dumb suckers. While the people they send to Washington are getting billions from big business, they think that the million dollars there town gets is a lot. The truth is, that is just what they spend on one commercial on network TV. Most Republicans are dumb ass hicks. They have no clue that the guy they sent to congress is set for life. Congress is a club and once you get in you get paid for life even if you screw everyone that voted for you, but Republicans have turned Congress into their own personal Swiss Bank accounts. They can raise Billions and if they don't get elected they get to keep it. Big oil and big business make sure that they get a ton of money to keep and when they don't get reelected, then they hire them. Do you see Carl Rove living next door to you? Hardly? Now there is no money to pay the bills because no one has a job. You can't collect taxes from people without jobs. Oh and where are those jobs? They are overseas, because that is what free trade is. Sending all the jobs over seas. How many people travel from India to eat in your restaurant. Not enough I bet. No jobs means no taxes which means a huge national debt. A huge national debt with no taxes means the dollar isn't worth a dime. The things you own are only worth what someone else will pay for it. That goes for the things that you sell too. No jobs means no one to buy it. Basically that means what you thought was worth something is worthless. That gold you bought, who is going to buy it. Who can afford it? Who will be able to afford it? As the cost of ever day living goes up, people can't afford as much, so there are less people to buy it. This is what happened with houses. When no one could afford houses any more, the suckers were left holding the houses. When no one can buy gold any more the suckers will own it. Who do you have to thank for all this? The Republicans, because they put the people who could buy your stuff out of work. Hope you have a restaurant in China, because that is where the buyers are.

Nazi Party Supports Republicans (not True)

Image via WikipediaI thought I would use this headline to demonstrate what ads are allowed to say. Of course it's not true, but if you saw this trash, you would only remember the headline. Americans are lost. They don't know the truth about the people running for any office and ads can say anything. It doesn't have to be true.
     Here is one fact. Jobs are headed to India and China. You better find out fast where your candidate stands on that issue, because companies don't keep the majority of their money in U.S. banks. They aren't American. They are international. Just go on the web and look. Every big company has an international sight. Why is this important.
     It is important, because those companies do not depend on the U.S. for anything. The U.S. is just another place to do business. If China were Democratic they would move there in a heartbeat and they will if the climate there changes. Communism doesn't bother them. All they want is a stable country that will let them do whatever they want. If they get that they are gone and the government has given them the right to call themselves American even if they did.
      Candidates can lie and twist facts in their ads legally. There is no honesty in politics law. If you don't find out the facts for yourself, you are not going to know the truth. In this year, they are going to draw the new lines for the voting districts in each state. If you pick the candidates that want free trade, jobs will continue to go over seas for the next ten years, because that is when the next census will be. After each census the lines are redrawn. Find out the facts and vote to save your job. Fast food places do not pay a living wage.

Politics Equals Gridlock

No mater what party you belong to it's time to understand that politics is keeping anything from getting done.
     Republicans and Democrats in office spend all their time trying not to offend people. It doesn't matter if the sky falls they will always spend the majority of their time raising money for campaigns and avoiding votes on anything that will anger their constituency. Nothing is getting done because neither side wants to do anything except get reelected, so they can be treated special. They are so immature that they can not stand the thought of being treated like we are.
     Elections are not about who will improve people's lives, they are about whether your elected official feels special.
     From the dog catcher , to the governor, to the White House (Democrat or Republican)  politics has become about who can get a free ride for life. You are the lowest priority on their lists. They lie to you continuously and you are to busy to check their stories. You vote for them over and over and get the same result over and over. That  result is never good either. Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over, getting a negative result, and expecting that that will change.
     People you need a reality check. From the bible belt to liberal San Francisco things are bad. Your choices in representatives are not changing and neither is our situation. The fact is that electing someone who will not do anything you don't like, tells elected officials one thing; Don't do anything. For decades they haven't been doing anything. If your a Republican, you know they don't want to do anything. They keep telling you they don't.
     If you expect things to change you should be checking yourself into the hospital for psychological evaluation. You sent the message that you didn't want anyone to do anything to change anything from the dog catcher to the White House. Any one who tries to do anything doesn't get reelected. America has sent the message not in my back yard and it has been heard. Business has moved over seas to get away from you. You aren't worth the money you cost them trying to satisfy you. Americans don't want to work. All they want is a job that allows them to pretend and get paid. Politicians know this, so they have let all the companies move.
     Americans don't like stores near them, so people built malls and strip malls far away from them. Americans have said no to so many things no one even asks any more.
     By the way the only people who get paid to do nothing are local, county, state, and federal employees.
     Businesses have figured out that they had a hell of a lot of people that didn't work and they don't miss them.
     No matter who you elect on election day, you can count on one thing, they won't do anything, but eat on your dime and continue to run for reelection until they are set for life.

Republicans Propose Plan to End The Recession!

Image via WikipediaToday Republicans announced their strategy to fix the broken economy. In a press release they unveiled the greatest plan in history.
     They propose to cut taxes for the4 highest one percent of income earning to rates that are one tenth of the rates that people making one hundred thousand or less pay now. They consider this a key to bringing back the economy. Their belief is that these people will begin to buy again, which in their view would create one million jobs. To make up for the loss of revenue from the highest one percent, they propose a federal sales tax of eight percent, to be applied to all products including food, gasoline, and many other necessities.
     Part two of the proposal is to eliminate taxes on companies making over ten million dollars if the hire people back at minimum wage. Their theory is that seven dollars and some odd sense is better than paying unemployment for nine point five million people. The companies will be exempt from providing benefits for the people who are hired under this program. They will also have an exemption from paying overtime.
     Republicans estimate that this will bring in 100,000,000,000 billion dollars in revenue for the reduction of the federal budget deficit. They also expect that companies will reduce their cost by sixty percent, which will be an incentive to begin production again.
     The third part of the proposal is to change banking regulations so that lenders can foreclose on home owners with out going to court. The lenders will decide based on people's credit scores when to foreclose on home owners. This proposal would end the practice that people have of stripping their houses before the bank can take possession, since home owners would have a week to move. It would also encourage banks to lend again, because they would have the ability to re coupe their money before a home owner defaulted.
      The final part for the proposal is to issue new money across the nation. The new currency would be bought at a rate of 5 dollars for every new dollar. This would reduce the national debt by a trillion dollars over time.
     If the Republicans did have a plan this would probably be it, but they don't have a plan. Their plan is to say no to every solution that is proposed, so they can win the White House in the next presidential election with the help of the tea party. A party they have no intention of satisfying in any way.

Republican National Committee Targets Democrats

The Republican National Committee has target Democrats literally. Today the leader of the Republican National Committee refused to condemn death threats and attacks on Democratic offices.
In it's most facsist attack on Democrats to this point Republicans and their pundents have create an atmosphere where death threats are acceptable. It can only be a short time before assasinations of Democratic leaders follows. Republicans have placed crosshairs on Democrats. They continue to whip their base into a mindless frenzy, which can only end badly. If the worst should happen they will of course deny any part in it, but the public will know different.
When people spit on members of congress without consequences it shows the lack of respect that can lead to anything. Even though some republicans condemned this act, they did not apologize for creating the atmosphere that would encourage it.
They have crossed the line and come to the verge of becoming criminally responsible for their indifference to the violence that has occurred. Should one person die, they should be charged as accessories.

Now The Rubber Hits The Road

Image via WikipediaWell by now you know that Obama is President. It's a historic day and a historic change in America, but this is where the rubber hits the road. Obama has a mandate and now the Democrats will have to put up or shut up. There is no more finger pointing or blaming that can be done. They have to deliver. It's all on them now.
If you don't get what Obama promised, the blame lies with him and The Democrats, period. They've talked the talk. Now they have to walk the walk. My mother always said if it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, and looks like a duck, it's a duck. Well, Obama did his quacking, walking, and appeared to be the agent of a new era in The United States, so he better get busy. He has no excuse not to do what he said. If the plane crashes now, it's the pilot that caused it.
We have no time to wait people. Things have be different on day one. They have to improve steadily. We all know what's at stake here. The future of our kids rides on it and our grand kids too.
Obama's election is not the end of something. It's the beginning of something. Let's all remember this. We've cut our politicians to much slack for too long. It's time they took responsibility and time to hold the m responsible. The country sent that message to The Republicans. Now it has to hold The Democrats to that standard. No more Lobbyists. No more pay offs. No more Washing ton old boy network. My mother always said three strikes and your out. The Democrats have one strike already from their lack of action last term. There are no do overs. They are all grown ups. They should be held accountable like you and I. If you don't work your fired. If you can't do the job you out. That's the real world. The world we live in every day. We don't have the luxury of saying present and frittering the day away. Americans work and so should our government or out they go.
Sometimes you have to try on a few pairs of shoes before you find some that fit. Americans should be prepared to do that with it's politicians too.

Denver. The Democratic Sodom And Gamorrah

While the Democratic big wigs are treated like royalty Obama pretends it's not happening. Obama has unofficially taken over The Democratic Committee, but lobbyists are spending millions to get close to High Party Officials. If Obama can't keep lobbyists out of the Convention he planned, how will he do it as president. Actions speak louder than words. There isn't a person in this country who hasn't been taken in by a smooth talker once, whether it was a false friend, associate, politician, religious leader, or whatever. We all found out the hard way that people can talk and we became wise enough to watch peoples actions. If Obama could change the greed in Washington, he would have been at The Convention renouncing the behavior of his fellow Democrats. It is clear that the only change there will be in politics as usual is that he may not take the money, but that will not change business as usual in Washington D.C.. Money will still do the talking in Congress and those of us who don't have it will be in the same boat as they are now. You can follow the Democrats blindly, but they are not demonstrating that they are any different from The Republicans.
We hear that four more years of a Republican President will end the world and that we are at a crossroads in our path, but ask yourself, If all this is true why aren't The Democrats acting like it. Politicians all play head games with us. They tell you what you want to hear in a way that plays on your emotions and you follow blindly like sheep. When will you change things? When will you stop looking for a Messiah and take matters into your own hands? when will you send Washington a message with your votes that business as usual in Washington is over. You have all lost your voices and you want someone to give it back to you, but no one can give you your voice back. You have to stand up and use it. It's time you stopped telling your friends and neighbors and start telling the politicians. I don't see that happening any time soon, so the change you long for will not happen or it will be diluted by the special interests to the point that it's unrecognizable. Change< I don't think so. Change is something you have to work for and Americans have become scared helpless sheep. This isn't what the men died for on the beaches of Normandy. They died so that people could make their futures in a free country, not wait for someone else to do it for them. You wait and things are out of your control, because instead of making things happen you wait for the brass ring to find you. You are one paycheck away from losing your house and everything you worked for. Your children are one paycheck away from having no future and you do nothing, but vote and pray. How sad this country has become when we can no longer protect ourselves from The Russians and The Chinese and here at home we throw up our hands in despair. This is not the America of my father fear has taken it's soul.
