Gas $3.50 A Gallon

Basic creditcard / debitcard / smartcard graph...Image via Wikipedia

Hold on to your wallets folks. Gas has risen a dollar since it hit its low at $1.60 a gallon. Soon you'll be emptying those change jars again to get enough to get to work. If you have a job that is.
Obama's people expect gas to hit at least $3.50 a gallon. We all know that the government let's the oil companies charge what they want, so this shouldn't surprise you. The oil companies own the government. There is not one government official who will take them on. Well maybe Sarah Palin, but I was speaking about The Federal Government.
Hell why don't we just but our gas upfront. We'd be better to lock it in now than wait another month. For years the oil companies and the car companies have had a pact to keep gas mileage low, so the oil companies could charge what they want. What do you think gas prices will do now that the government owns GM. They will get the tax revenue from the gas and you will be buying your car from them. Does that make you a bit queasy in the stomach? It does me.
I think we ought to let the Mexicans in and start moving there. It's cheaper to live there and for the most part the weather is better. There are no jobs there, but hell, there aren't any here. If you haven't lost yours yet, it's because your business hasn't gotten around to it yet. Don't worry they will.
The government really wants us all to work for Walmart and at this point that doesn't look too bad. The Class of 2009 would probably take a job at Walmart considering there are no other jobs. They are in serious debt and with no job they are defaulting n their loans. Of course the banks will raise your interest rates to make up for that.
Why would anyone want to keep a credit card at 30% interest. If you use it your credit rating will plunge. All these experts who tell you not to close the accounts want you to use those cards and spend yourself into oblivion. If you can't afford to pay it who cares if you can borrow less money on a credit card. Credit Cards are now just another scam on us.
When gas hits $3.50 a gallon as predicted, you will be parking your car, because that is the real reason for the recession. People couldn't pay that much for gas and pay their bills and the same will be true when it happens again. If you are listening to them say the stock market is recovering, you should turn the sound down now. Gas prices are what will determine a rally. If they head up hide your money in the mattress or buy gold, because we are in for a big crash. If gas prices go to $3.50 a gallon, and they will, you can bet that people will not even be driving to Walmart.
Some people will call this gloom and doom talk, but if you think back to last year, the bottom fell out when gas prices spiked to record highs. With them on the rise, you can bet that no one will be buying anything stimulus or not. Be vary wary of spending any money with gas prices on the rise.

Israeli Cowardice

Thousands of Americans have died and more die daily fighting Arab extremists. These soldiers didn't ask for this war and their families did not ask for them to be shipped back in coffins. Make no mistake about why they are dying; they are dying because of Israel's lust for land.
Even as Amaerican's have their limbs blown off, the Israelis build more and more settlements in an attempt to drive the Palestinians out. They tear down the Palestinian's houses and build housing, so that they can expand to the point that their Genicide of the Palestinian's is complete. It reminds me of the fate the native americans suffered at the hands of our government.
As the Israeli's build and build, they cowar from the war that rages in the middle east. They have not and will not send troops to fight next to our men and women. They are cowards.
We should not be fighting a proxy war for Israel. They have men and we have sold them all the weapons they need to get the job done. This war is not about the U.S. This war is about years of turning a blind eye as israel mistreated the Arabs and fanned the flames of hare in the Middle East to the point that we became a target. If Israel wants the land let them fight for it. Let them die. The Middle East is not our problem, but it came back to bite us in the ass on (/11. That was the day that the arab extremists chose to punish us for our hands off approach to Israel.
I will be called an antisemite for this blog, but I have Jewish blood. I have Jewish aunts and uncles and cousins. I respect their beleifs, but I can not and will not watch silently as Israeli Policy spills more and more American blood. The Israelis have the means and the weapons to fight and it is time they ended their cowardly ways and fight their own battles.
As for the Arab extremist, it has long been an international agreement that combatants who do not where uniforms are spies and they should be summarily tried and executed. Personally I think that they should be left hanging in public for a few days as a message to these animals that we don't take any shit.
As for Pakistan, if they can't handle their business or are somehow aligned with these extremists, we should remedy the situation with our superior weaponry. You don't pay thugs and black mailers, you kill them. You find them and and let the B52's do the work. It's ironic that we have the best weapons in the world and we can not annihalate these parasites. It would seem that the billions of dollars we have poured into weapons systems year after year for decades have not created weapons that can take care of the problem. Maybe it went to the Officer's Golf Courses.
Finally, I would like to point out that thereis not one general in the military with the guts to lead our men into battle. They are useless lazy pencil pushers, who would sacrifice 100 eighteen year olds, so that their recreation is not interrupted. Where is Patton when you need him?

Disability, Discrimination, and Neglect

MIAMI - OCTOBER 03: University of Miami Pedia...Image by Getty Images via Daylife

Nobody wants to be disabled. Every type of disability carries a stigma with it. People stare at the disabled like they are freaks or shake their heads with pity. They look at them as an inconvenience or a drain on society.
What people do not under stand is that one day they are likely to be disabled in some way. Whether it is arthritis, heart disease, aztheimers, or the ravages of cancer; people will probably be disabled at some time in their life. Disability cab become personal real fast. Imagine being stricken with a stroke and loosing the ability to walk in seconds. Suddenly you are the inconvenience. Suddenly you are the one without insurance, who has to wait a year to get medicare. On top of that you are unable to go to the county office building to ask for help. Imagine all the places that are not wheel chair accessesible. You pass them every day without a thought. One day it could be you that needs togain entrance to them.
Discrimination take many forms; from indifferent to blatant. One example is Syracuse, N.Y.; where many people have been denied permission to build wheelchair ramps on their houses, because the city considers them in the same manner as they would adding an addition to their house. These people are trapped in their homes now and have no escape if a fire should start in their homes. Thei only choice would be to burn alive screaming in unbarable pain because they have no exit. Their flesh melting from the heat and dripping off their bones as the fire burns uncontrollably around them. Maybe your city or town has the same housing code.
Maybe as in Syracuse, the disabled have to wait years for affordable housing or live in residentials to have a roof over their heads. I could go on, but this blog would become a book. The bottomline is that the disabled are unwanted and excluded. The only reason they are not allowed to die is that it would be bad publicity for the politicians.
Instead they are placed in homes where they are neglected or worse yet sexully abused. Imagine your grandmother being sexually abused daily by an evil employee of a nursing home or residential facility. I'm sure you don't think this could happen in your area or to your relative.
Maybe you think that people who are disabled cost too much money, so you believe that they should just be allowed to waist away. Funny how when it is a dog or a cat people will spend tens of thousands of dollars to meet their medical and sheltering needs. The fact is, that when it is your dog, you will spend freely on them. Some people even buy medical insurance on their pets.
In the United States today the services that the disabled receive vary from town to town, not just state to state. There is no equal treatment under the law for the disabled. There are no rights that cross state lines, county lines, city lines, or county lines. Some day when your sitting in the wheel chair or bed ridden you'll wish that you had payed attention to the plight of the disabled.

Better Economy?

Auburn Hills, MichiganImage via Wikipedia

The people, who would smile gleefully as their houses burned, are now saying that things will get better in late 2009. I would just like to point out that better is a relative term. If your neighbor's house burns to the ground and yours only loses the roof then you might think you are better off.
This is a depression people and the government refuses to call it what it is, because they don't want to take the political heat. All the signs point to more unemployment and devastating times. You may say this is doom and gloom, but it is really economic reality. When 6 million people lose their jobs, every other job is affected. GM and Chrysler are on the skids and up to another million people could lose their jobs as plants close and their suppliers take a major hit. Bottom line this is going to be a long depression.
Now for the worse news. Inflation is likely to hit double digits when the economy does pick up, because the government has printed money more prolifically than BINGO halls. Too much money in circulation forces the federal government to raise interest rates. Any one who lived through the post Reagan years saw interest rates in the 25% range. The banks raised their credit card rates from 6 and 7 percent to 20 and 30 percent and they didn't come down. Thank you congress.
Stocks may rebound immensely, but their value tied to inflation won't. This is just an economic fact. Deflation results in the printing of money and inflation follows, because there is so much money in circulation that buying power goes down.
People need to buy commodities that are undervalued now as a hedge against inflation, but gold and platinum are at the top of the bubble now and the bubbles is about to break. Those commodities will see a huge drop in value as suddenly a house prices did. The bottom line is that when things reach a price that shuts out people's ability to buy in great enough quantities, there is no market for them and the price falls, leaving the last people holding the bag with any empty bag.
